Spring is here

On May Day the weather was warm and the sun was shining. I took some pictures in the yard to show how far we are with the spring right now. This is moss blooming, about 1" high:

Pussy willows high up in the tree

Birch tops are showing a slight green shade, the leaves are not open yet.

Scilla sibirica, a garden plant which spreads easily from the seeds and has little bulbs.

First daffodils opened yesterday

We are waiting for a rain to make the nature green. Happy May everyone!

Exciting discovery.. your Siberian Squill is in the same family as our Spring Beauties. :-D

I think your climate is about two weeks behind us, because we can feel safe planting after May 15th.

Everything is starting to look so bright and warmer there! I love pussy willows.. we don't have any.

Yes isn't it great.....
I have been outside both yesterday and today. My gardentabel now have 6 layer of oil and my husband has washed the patio. So now we are almost set for summer, just need some more flowers. But I cannot buy flowers yet , it way to early.
Take care and have fun..
