Feed the Birds

At this time of the year, there is hardly any colour in the nature. The red and grey chested bullfinches whistle softly to make me see they are trying to cheer up the view. They are regular visitors on our feeder, but also find something to eat in the birch. This picture was taken from our doorstep, about 30 m from the birds, as I didn't want to scare them away.

  1. The birds are the decorations in your tree. :o) The starkness of Winter has it's own unique beauty.

  3. I am liking the zoom on your camera. After Christmas I wont need to sweet talk the birds into letting me get close. :-) Beautiful delicate picture of Winter Nature.

  4. I love birds but here we mainly see squirrels. On one of my walks I did see a pair of cardinals and they made me smile.
I do like you photo even if it is stark.

  5. It's that time of year again for you Ulla, feed the birds to ward off the Winter chill for them. It's a good thing to do, very necessary.
