Today's granny square has a new colour, green. I found some tiny balls of this yarn I had from my mother from my grandmother. I knitted a pull-over vest for Mr. Kotkarankki of this yarn some decades ago.

In the same place I found a part of a striped wool garment, just waiting to be re-used for something else. This is what it looked like after I pulled the yarn end:

After I washed the skeins I let them dry in the sun and wind ...

... so that I could make three cute little balls of fresh yarn for my coming granny squares!

I'm a very recycling person.
You could teach the world alot with your recycling! I love the new grannies.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Stephanie.
ReplyDeleteThis will make a terrific granny square! So resourceful. I love the blue and the brown together. :-)
Wonderful how you can reuse your yarn. I think your squares will look so beautiful in your new colours.
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed with your recycling, Ulla! We used to do that as children - I think it's high time we all did that again!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
