TdF day 10 - Helping Hands progress

Tuesday was rest day and this is my Wednesday TdF post. With no TV on Tuesday, I managed to spend some time at the cutting table and sewing machine. I matched some solids for sashings:

and put together the Helping Hands quilt. The top is hanging in the window, the horizontal stripes are from the blinds.

Here a closer view. What next? I need borders and outer borders to make the quilt bigger.

The obligatory preemie hat of the day:

Today there will be some serious mountains to reach! Happy Tour to you all.

The depth in the Helping Hands windows is striking. The shashinh adds and extra dimension. great picture with window light behind it.

I can't get my head into seeing that quilt as 2D, my eyes are sure it is 3D and won't be discouraged. Very clever. And *another* premmie hat, how many is that now?

A very pretty quilt - or rather handsome since it has a masculine feel to it. I too am working on a hat pattern that has angled ridges. We'll see how it goes. My pattern has 20 rows of ribbing so it can be turned up.

HA! I just noticed that the couch/chair on which you photographed the hat looks exactly like mine - only newer.

What is the source of the pattern for the pink premie cap? Will you share it with me? My quilt guild makes caps for our local county hospital and I would love to make some like these. Thanks

I love the quilt top - including the lines from the blinds!
It looks like you are keeping up the pace and get lots of things done.

Your quilt is amazing, like many small boxes put together. I like it very much.
The hat is as cute as the others, I think those who get one will be very happy.

I love the way you have used the stripes to get the 3D effect!
