The Tour was riding through fog yesterday. Our views are foggy too, as the new windows are covered with plastic as long as the house painters have finished their job. The new blanket is growing.
I added a white first border to the Helping Hands quilt
and now I'm going through my stash for ideas for a wider border.
Yummy knitting blocks and I wonder what wide border fabric you will find.
ReplyDeletePerhaps when the plastic is removed from you windows the sun will shine too! I'm excited to see the final result of your Helping Hands quilt.
ReplyDeletePerhaps a multi-coloured one or another thin border with multi-coloured strips and then another solid coloured border?
ReplyDeleteOur temperatures have been a bit lower and it's nice to be able to take a walk and breathe.
Lovely snuggly work sewing more blanket squares on in the fog. :-) Oooo your Helping Hands quilt looks lovely so far. What about something dark and wide to finish framing it? I'm looking forward to the big reveal.
ReplyDeleteHow I love a freshly painted house! Next year we'll be doing ours. I can't wait to choose colors! The blanket will be so cozy and warm!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Your Helping Hand Quilt looks so nice. It's warm and cosy with knitted blankets.
